I see people saying how much they love the character and I'm just sat there scratching my head thinking "But why?" haha. I heard that in the manga & sub, Seto doesn't necessarily not believe in magic, he just chooses not to let it run his life and that's understandable but it's such a shame the dub didn't retain this for his character but I digress, I'm just curious if people actually like Seto in the context of the dub lol. And then in Waking the Dragons with people again losing their souls from a magic circle (Seal of Orichalcos), weird monsters appearing in the real world, and so on. During the Battle City tournament in the finals, there is magic happening all around putting people into comas (Mai, Joey/Jonouchi, and Ryo)and the deal with Marik. I'm currently re-watching the series since it has been awhile and I'm on the "Waking the Dragons" arc and my gosh it's all coming back how insufferable I thought Kaiba was I'll specify that I am watching the dub and if I remember correctly, the dub really didn't do justice for the character if I'm not mistaken?Īnyway I'm just in disbelief with the dub version of him lol.
